"Raising vegetarian children's is exciting and has many rewards, but it does require that parents be informed, supportive, adaptable and creative". This is a quote from a book I started reading last night (Raising Vegetarian Children). For me being vegetarian has been a way of life for the last 25 years, and I used to take that for granted until my daughter came. I've always feel very comfortable with a vegetarian diet, but when you think of your children you tend to be more aware of their health and nutritious requirements. For me It's been a journey of rediscovery, but It's been also a reinforcing way to affirm my believes. Now I am confident of my daughters health and well being. She's a very healthy Kid!
I was raised vegetarian from birth, and now I'm raising my daughter vegetarian from birth.
I believe being vegetarian gave me an academic edge in school and helped me achieve above average results.
And my daughter is unbelievably healthy - she very rarely gets sick, even when the rest of us are.
It's the meat and dairy industries that constantly promote the idea that animal products are vital for good health. I think they're a bit biased. ;)
